Our Mandate
Why do exist?
-
To educate the church in London Conference about the work of the UCC
with its overseas partners in God’s mission.
-
To advocate on behalf of all people for justice and peace.
-
To facilitate opportunities for churches and church members to
engage/participate in global mission through a variety of projects
and programs.

What do we do?
-
Gather for meetings at
least 3 times per year.
-
Organize workshops on
current themes relating to global mission.
-
Communicate with
Presbyteries and congregations about the United Church’s work with
global partners.
-
Promote support for M&S
-
Facilitate and organize
orientation for conference education and exposure visits.
-
Organize arrangements for
hosting of overseas visitors and overseas personnel on home
assignment as needed.
-
Facilitate interfaith and
interagency dialogue and action.

Gifts and Skills:
Members should have a passion for
the global mission of the church, with particular interest in justice
and peace, and a desire to promote the United Church’s global
partnerships through education and advocacy.
