Mission Interpretation Opportunity

[Print]

Mary Collins, Overseas Personnel currently serving with the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea (PROK), is returning to Canada for her final Home Assignment in 2010.  She will be available for Mission Interpretation throughout 2010, but particularly in London Conference in May and June 2010.  (Other requests outside those months will be considered as possible.)

Overseas Personnel offer a unique insight into the global partnership relationships of The United Church of Canada.  Their experiences have equipped them with particular competencies in interpreting mission and living out a commitment to an intercultural church.  They are able to offer glimpses into the life and mission and culture of the partner church with whom they served, and in offering such insights, encourage our own church in its faithful witness, global engagement and commitment to justice.

Consider inviting Mary to speak to your congregation, presbytery, UCW or other church group!  She looks forward to sharing the story of the people and mission of the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea, and is particularly keen to highlight the ecumenical partnerships of the PROK, that church’s commitment to justice issues and engagement in efforts for peace and reunification with North Korea.

Please see Mary’s profile for further information.
